    No worries! You can create an account through the PayMaya bot for Messenger.

  5. Can I create a PayMaya account if I’m not a Smart subscriber?

    Yup! This is open to all mobile subscribers.

  6. If I create a PayMaya account on Messenger, does it mean I don’t need to register when I download the app?

    You still need to register in the app for you to create a password for your PayMaya account and to get your virtual Visa.

  7. How come I can’t see these features on my Messenger?

    Right now, it’s only available on Messenger on Android. If you’re already on an Android device, make sure you’re on the latest Android OS and Messenger app version.

  8. Is this service safe?

    Yes, you will need to provide your Facebook password for every new payment made with the Paymaya bot for Messenger. All of your bills are handled securely through PayMaya.

  9. Can someone access my PayMaya account if they log in to my messenger?

    It won’t be possible to pay bills without your Facebook password. However, anyone with access to your device and Messenger account will be able to check your balance or link/un-link your PayMaya account. You should never share your device, password, or social media accounts with others, particularly those you don’t trust.

  1. How do I pay my bills on Messenger?

    a. For Non-PayMaya users

      Step 1: Start a chat on Messenger, click the + button on the upper right corner or search for PayMaya (@PayMayaOfficial)
      Step 2: Select “Get Started”
      Step 3: Select a biller
      Step 4: Provide bill info in the fields provided
      Step 5: You will be asked to either create a PayMaya account or link your existing account to Messenger. Select “create account”
      Step 6: Provide your mobile number and you will be sent a verification code via SMS. Key in the verification code in the Messenger app and receive a message saying, “your account has been created”
      Step 7: Select “Get code” and you will be sent a 16-digit code and be instructed to go to a Smart Padala Center to complete your payment
      Step 8: Payment confirmation will be sent after the agent receives the funds

    b. For existing PayMaya users

      Step 1: Start a chat on Messenger, click the + button on the upper right corner or search for PayMaya (@PayMayaOfficial)
      Step 2: Select “Get Started”
      Step 3: Select a biller
      Step 4: Provide bill info in the fields provided, select “continue” and confirm details
      Step 5: You will be asked to either create a PayMaya account or link your existing account to Messenger. Select “link account”
      Step 6: You will be asked to provide your username (mobile number) and password to your PayMaya account
      Step 7: Allow Messenger to access your PayMaya account
      Step 8: You will get a confirmation on Messenger saying “your account has been linked”
      Step 9: Select “tap here to confirm payment”
      Step 10: You will be asked to provide your Facebook password whenever you make a payment
      Step 11: Payment confirmation will be sent to you via Messenger as well as SMS after payment has been processed

    If you encounter any problems in payment, the amount will be credited to your PayMaya account. You can then recover the funds via the Agent when you deposited money within 24 hours. Or, download the PayMaya app so you can enjoy all the other awesome things you can do with PayMaya

  4. Can I pay my bills on the day of the due date?

    With the exception of Meralco, (which must be paid at least 24 hours in advance), same day payments are accepted by 6:00 PM, the day the bill is due via the Paymaya bot for Messenger. We advise that you pay your bills before the due date to avoid any inconvenience.

  5. What will happen if I try to pay an overdue bill?

    We advise that you pay your bills before the due date to avoid any inconvenience. For Meralco, they do not accept late payments. Kindly check with your biller.

  6. Why doesn’t the Smart Padala Center near our area accept payments done via the Paymaya bot for Messenger?

    Not all Smart Padala Centers will be able to process this type of transaction. Email us the location of the Smart Padala Center at support@paymaya.com so we can provide a better service for you.

  7. Will there be any additional fees for this?

    Bills payment from balance is free. There is a P10 commission for the agent when you pay through Smart Padala.

  8. Will my bill be paid immediately?

    You will receive a confirmation of payment via the Paymaya bot for Messenger and an SMS verification. To avoid any inconvenience, we advise that you pay your bills before the due date.

  9. How can I know if my bill was paid successfully?

    You will receive a confirmation of payment via the Paymaya bot for Messenger and an SMS verification once your bill has been successfully paid. You can also download the PayMaya app so you can easily track all your transactions.

  10. Can I partially pay my bill in the Padala Center?

    Yes, you can partially pay your bill
    Ex. Total bill due is Php 500 and you only pay Php 300 to the Padala agent Facebook will send you an option to whether to “Pay Now” meaning you only be paying partial of your bill or “Cash in” for you to pay the remaining balance of your bill

Account Registration
  1. How do I create/register my account?

    Step 1: Select “Start an account”
    Step 2: Enter your 10-digit mobile number(908xxxxxxx)
    Step 3: You will see the screen “We’ll send an SMS verification to this phone number <10-digit mobile number your provided>” Select “OK” to confirm your mobile number
    Step 4: You will be sent a verification code via SMS. Key in the verification code in the Messenger app
    Step 5: You will get the message “Your account is ready!” and get an SMS from PayMaya

  2. Do I have to create/register a new account if I already have a PayMaya account?

    No need! For existing PayMaya subscribers, you just need to link your account to Messenger.

  3. I already have my PayMaya account and the app, why do I need to pay my bills through Messenger if I can pay using the app?

    Paying your bills through the Paymaya bot for Messenger is our way of providing more ways to pay your bills. You can pay through either the Paymaya bot for Messenger or the PayMaya app, whichever is more convenient for you.

  4. Do I get a virtual card when I create an account through Messenger?

    To get the virtual Visa, just download the PayMaya app to create a password and activate your virtual card there so you can start shopping online.

Linking & Unlinking
  1. How do I link my PayMaya account to Messenger?

    Step 1: Select “I have an account”, Enter the mobile number and password of your PayMaya account
    Step 2: Select “Allow”
    Step 3: You will get the message “Your account is ready”

  2. How do I unlink my PayMaya account?

    1. Open Messenger App
    2. Start a chat with PayMaya
    3. Click the option menu in the lower left portion of the chat box
    4. Click “Unlink Account”
    5. You will receive the message “Are you sure you want to unlink your PayMaya account? You will need to link your account again to do any transactions”
    6. Tap on “Yes. Unlink account.”
    7. You will receive the message “Ok, your PayMaya account has been unlinked.”

Check Balance
  1. How do I check my PayMaya balance in Messenger?

    To check your PayMaya balance, just click on “Check Balance” bubble in Facebook Messenger chat with PayMaya Official.

  2. Why does it say “You don’t have an account” even I have a PayMaya account?

    Make sure that you have linked your account to Messenger before you can check your balance.
